关于此场馆

The Kosciuszko Mound stands on the western edge of Krakow, rising above the Wolski Forest on Sikornik Hill. Raised between 1820 and 1823 by the citizens of Poland and Lithuania as a tribute to Tadeusz Kosciuszko, the military commander and national hero who led the 1794 uprising against the partitioning powers, the mound was built by hand from soil brought from battlefields where Kosciuszko fought, both in Poland and in North America. It remains one of the most distinctive landmarks on the Krakow skyline.

The site incorporates a small fortress built around the mound in the mid-nineteenth century during the Austrian period of occupation, which today houses the museum dedicated to Kosciuszko's life, military campaigns, and enduring significance to Polish national identity. Visitors can explore the exhibition inside the fortifications and climb to the summit for a panoramic view across the city. Skip-the-line entry tickets are available, allowing direct access to the mound and museum without queuing at the gate.
