About Athens: Acropolis Entry Ticket + 5 Archaeological Sites

This combo ticket gives access to the Acropolis of Athens and five additional major archaeological sites across the city, making it one of the most comprehensive ways to cover Athens's ancient heritage in a single booking. The Acropolis itself sits on a limestone hill rising roughly 156 metres above the city and has been a centre of Athenian civic and religious life since at least the 5th century BC, when the Parthenon was completed under the direction of Pericles around 432 BC.

Alongside the Acropolis site and its slopes, the ticket covers the Ancient Agora, the Roman Agora, Aristotle's Lyceum (known here as Aristotle's School), the Panathenaic Stadium, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The Panathenaic Stadium is the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble and served as the venue for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. The Temple of Olympian Zeus, begun in the 6th century BC and completed under Emperor Hadrian around 131 AD, was one of the largest temples in the ancient world.

What to expect

Within the Acropolis site, entry covers the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, and the Temple of Athena Nike on the upper hill, as well as the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus on the southern slopes. A digital audio guide for the Acropolis is included, providing commentary without the need for a live guide. The remaining five sites are self-guided. Tickets do not include a live guide, and wheelchair access is not available across these sites.
