A'DAM Lookout

A'DAM Lookout occupies the top floors of the A'DAM Tower, a striking cylindrical skyscraper that rises above the IJ waterfront in Amsterdam Noord. Originally built in the 1960s as the headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell, the tower was reimagined as a creative and cultural hub following a major redevelopment completed in 2016. The observation deck sits at 22 floors and offers a panoramic view across the city's canal rings, the Central Station roof, and the open water stretching northward.

Visitors can take in the skyline from the outdoor viewing platform, which features Europe's highest swing extending out over the edge of the building. The current programme includes standard entry paired with a welcome drink, a fast-track entry option with dining choices, and a combined ticket that includes a burger menu. The tower also houses a hotel, bars, and event spaces across its lower floors, making the Lookout one of the more distinctive vantage points Amsterdam has to offer.
