Sobre o local

Sobre este local

Park Güell is one of Barcelona's most celebrated works of public art and architecture, designed by Antoni Gaudí and constructed in the early twentieth century on the hillside of Carmel in the Gràcia district. Originally conceived as a private residential garden city for the industrialist Eusebi Güell, the project was never completed as planned, and the site was donated to the city of Barcelona in 1918. It opened as a public park in 1926, the same year Gaudí died, and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 as part of the Works of Antoni Gaudí.

The Monumental Zone at its centre draws visitors to the mosaic-covered terrace, the serpentine bench designed by Josep Maria Jujol under Gaudí's direction, the colonnaded Hypostyle Hall, and the iconic dragon stairway at the main entrance. The surrounding parkland offers panoramic views across Barcelona toward the sea. Ticketed experiences available here include skip-the-line guided tours, standard entry tickets, and a combined entry with an audio guide to the nearby Gaudí House Museum, where the architect lived for almost twenty years.
