Paronella Park is a historic castle and garden estate in North Queensland, roughly an hour south of Cairns on the Innisfail Japoon Road. Built by Spanish immigrant José Paronella in the 1930s, the site combines castle ruins, tropical rainforest, waterfalls, and a hydroelectric system he constructed himself. Entry tickets cover a full day and evening visit, making it one of the more layered Cairns attractions within day-trip range.

Two guided tours are included with entry. The Dream Continues Tour is a 35-minute daytime walk departing every 30 minutes from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, covering the park highlights and the story behind Paronella's vision. The Darkness Falls Tour runs each evening for approximately 45 minutes and takes in the park after dark, when the castle ruins and rainforest read quite differently. A self-guided Botanical Walk is also available using a 16-page booklet identifying 88 species of flora and fauna across the grounds. Tickets include a souvenir guidebook and map, fish food for the on-site fish, and wheelchair-accessible paths throughout the estate. Hotel transfers and food and drinks are not included.
