Sobre este local

Alexandra Palace stands on a hill in north London, offering panoramic views across the city that have made it a landmark since the Victorian era. The building opened in 1873 as a public palace of entertainment and recreation, earning the nickname the People's Palace. It burned down just sixteen days after its first opening and was rebuilt and reopened in 1875. The BBC made television broadcasting history here in 1936, transmitting the world's first regular high-definition television service from the palace's south wing.

The Summit Ally Pally experience takes visitors beyond the grand halls and concert spaces to the rooftop itself, where guided climbs reveal the full sweep of the London skyline from one of its highest vantage points. The climb traces the exterior of the building, passing architectural details rarely seen at close range, and concludes with unobstructed views stretching across the capital. It is a distinctive way to appreciate both the scale of the Victorian structure and the city it has overlooked for a century and a half.
