O tym miejscu

@sohoplace is a contemporary theatre in the West End of London, occupying a striking circular building above Tottenham Court Road station. Designed by architect Haworth Tompkins and opened in 2022, it was the first new commercial theatre to be built in the West End in more than fifty years, a distinction that made its arrival a significant moment for London's theatrical landscape. The venue was founded by producer Nica Burns and was conceived from the outset as a flexible space capable of reconfiguring its stage and seating to suit productions of varying scales and styles.

Currently on stage is The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, a production based on the remarkable true story of William Kamkwamba, the Malawian inventor who built a wind turbine from scrap materials to save his village from famine. The story, previously adapted as a memoir and a Netflix film, makes its theatrical debut at @sohoplace, continuing the venue's commitment to bold, story-driven work in one of London's most architecturally distinctive theatre buildings.
