Prague Castle: Guided Introduction is a 30-minute orientation tour of one of the largest castle complexes in the world, meeting at Třetí nádvoří, the Third Courtyard, beside St. Vitus Cathedral. The castle complex spans roughly 70,000 square metres across a ridge above the Vltava river and has served as the seat of Bohemian kings, Holy Roman Emperors, and Czech presidents across more than a thousand years of continuous use. This short guided session is designed to give visitors a working understanding of the site before they explore independently, covering the layout, the key architectural periods, and the historical figures who shaped the complex from its ninth-century origins through to the present day.

The guide leads the group through an overview of the courtyard arrangement, points out the principal buildings including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and St. George's Basilica, and explains what each area contains and how to prioritise a self-guided visit. Practical advice on crowd patterns, lesser-visited sections, and navigation is included, along with a map provided at the start. Booking covers the live guide and the 30-minute introduction. Entry to the castle interiors and any subsequent Prague attractions visited independently are at the visitor's own expense. The tour is wheelchair accessible, and cancellation is accepted before the confirmed date.
