Zoo Aquarium de Madrid

Zoo Aquarium de Madrid sits within the grounds of the Casa de Campo, the vast former royal hunting estate on the western edge of the capital. It is one of the few facilities in Europe to combine a full zoological collection with a large aquarium under one roof, housing species from every continent alongside sharks, rays, and tropical fish in its marine galleries. The zoo is also home to one of Spain's most established giant panda breeding programmes, a distinction it has held for several decades and one that draws visitors from across the country.

The site is organised into themed zones that move visitors through different global habitats, from the arid landscapes of the savannah section to the humid enclosures of the tropical house. The aquarium wing adds a separate dimension to the visit, with walk-through tanks and dedicated dolphin and sea lion areas. Entry tickets are currently available, giving access to the full zoo and aquarium grounds.
