Arrival and timing

Make your way to Interlaken Ost (East) station in good time before your departure slot. Your seat is reserved, so locate your carriage and settle in before the train pulls away. The journey involves a change at Grindelwald Terminal onto the Eiger Express cable car, and then a further change at Eigergletscher station onto the rack railway, so keep your travel documents to hand throughout.

Getting around the venue

Once at Jungfraujoch, your ticket includes access to the Sphinx Viewing Platform, the open Plateau, and the Ice Palace. Wear warm, layered clothing regardless of the season, as temperatures at this altitude are significantly colder than in the valleys below. Sturdy, flat-soled footwear is advisable, particularly on the Plateau and inside the Ice Palace where surfaces can be slippery.

During your visit

Photography is welcomed throughout the site, so bring a fully charged camera or phone. Be considerate of other visitors on the viewing platform, as it can become busy. Allow yourself enough time to explore all three areas before returning to the station to begin the journey back to Interlaken Ost.
