Tentang tempat ini

The Klementinum Mirror Chapel occupies one of the most ornate interiors in Prague, set within the vast Klementinum complex that the Jesuits began constructing in the seventeenth century along the right bank of the Vltava. The chapel takes its name from the floor-to-ceiling mirrors that line its walls, reflecting gilded stucco, frescoed ceilings, and candlelight in a way that makes the space feel simultaneously intimate and boundless. For centuries the Klementinum served as a centre of Baroque scholarship and religious life, and the chapel remains one of its most celebrated rooms.

Today the Mirror Chapel hosts classical concerts performed by the Royal Czech Orchestra, bringing live chamber and orchestral music into a setting that amplifies both the acoustics and the atmosphere of the Baroque era. The repertoire draws on the great composers whose work flourished during the period in which the chapel was built, making the experience as architectural as it is musical. The Klementinum itself is a short walk from Charles Bridge, placing the chapel at the centre of Prague's historic left-bank quarter.
