Milan Cruises operates guided boat tours along the Navigli, the network of historic canals that once served as the city's main arteries for trade and the transport of marble used to build Milan Cathedral. Though much of the original canal system was filled in during the twentieth century, the surviving stretches around the Navigli district and the Darsena basin remain among the most atmospheric parts of the city, lined with Renaissance-era towpaths and waterside buildings that have changed little in character over the centuries.

Milan Cruises currently offers two experiences on the water: a leisurely Aperitif by Boat on the Navigli, which pairs the classic Milanese ritual of the aperitivo with an unhurried passage along the canal, and a guided Navigli and Darsena Boat Tour that traces the history of this engineered waterway from the Darsena harbour outward. Both experiences give passengers a perspective on Milan that is simply not available from the street, revealing the scale and craftsmanship of a canal system partly designed with input from Leonardo da Vinci.
