Flamenco de Leones

Flamenco de Leones is a dedicated flamenco theatre in Madrid, one of the few cities in the world where the art form has been performed continuously for generations. The venue stages live flamenco in a setting designed to place the audience close to the performers, allowing the full force of the cante, toque, and baile to register without mediation. Its programme centres on the traditions that Madrid has long absorbed from Andalusia and reshaped into its own distinct style, known as flamenco madrileño.

Current performances include an evening flamenco show and a combined dinner and flamenco experience, both held within the theatre itself. These productions bring together singers, guitarists, and dancers in the format of the tablao, a concentrated stage presentation that has been the principal way Madrid audiences have encountered serious flamenco since the mid-twentieth century.
