À propos du lieu

À propos de ce lieu

Barcelona Cathedral, formally known as the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, stands at the centre of the Gothic Quarter and remains one of the finest examples of Catalan Gothic architecture in existence. Its construction spanned several centuries, with the main building largely completed between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, though the neo-Gothic facade was not finished until 1913. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Eulalia, co-patron of Barcelona, whose remains are held in the crypt beneath the high altar. The celebrated cloister, home to a flock of thirteen white geese, is one of the most distinctive and quietly memorable spaces in the city.

Visitors can explore the cathedral interior and rooftop terraces, which offer views across the old city's rooflines toward the sea. Tickadoo currently offers entry tickets with an audio guide for those who prefer to explore at their own pace, as well as a skip-the-line guided morning tour combined with breakfast for a more structured start to the day.
