Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa rises 828 metres above Dubai, making it the tallest structure on Earth and the defining feature of the city's skyline. Designed by the Chicago-based architect Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the tower draws on the geometry of a desert flower, the Hymenocallis, and tapers through a series of setbacks to its slender spire. Its construction, completed in 2010, transformed the Downtown Dubai district and set new benchmarks for structural engineering worldwide.

Visitors can ascend to several distinct observation levels. At the Top on Floors 124 and 125 offers panoramic views across the Arabian Gulf and the desert beyond, with sunrise and sunset experiences available at those same floors. The Lounge on Level 154 provides a more intimate setting higher still, while SKY on Level 148 sits among the upper reaches of the tower. At.mosphere Restaurant on Level 122 holds the distinction of being one of the highest restaurants in the world, and a rooftop dining experience at The Burj Club combines the observation visit with a meal.
