Acerca de este lugar

Liria Palace is the Madrid residence of the House of Alba, one of Spain's oldest and most distinguished noble families. The building stands in the Argüelles district and houses a private art collection of extraordinary depth, including paintings by Goya, Rembrandt, Titian, and Rubens, alongside rare manuscripts, tapestries, and personal correspondence from figures who shaped European history. The palace was severely damaged during the Spanish Civil War and subsequently rebuilt, with the restored interiors faithfully recreating the grandeur of the original rooms.

Guided tours of Liria Palace take visitors through the principal salons and galleries, offering close access to works that remain largely unknown outside specialist circles precisely because the collection has spent most of its existence in private hands. The experience provides a rare opportunity to move through a living aristocratic residence rather than a purpose-built museum, with the art displayed in the domestic context for which much of it was originally acquired.
