Peoria Zoo: Entry Ticket at Peoria Zoo

Peoria Zoo is an animal attraction in Peoria, within reach of Chicago, housing a global collection of wildlife across six regionally themed exhibits. The zoo covers Africa, Australia, Asia, and the tropics, alongside a Contact Barn and a Conservation Center. The Africa exhibit, named Zambezi River Village, recreates the African grasslands and is home to lions, white rhinos, giraffes, and zebras, as well as forest-dwelling species including Red River Hogs and Colobus monkeys. Mandrills, among the largest monkey species in the world, are also found along this route. Amur tigers and a range of primate species are housed in the Asian and tropical sections of the zoo.

Visitors move through the exhibits at their own pace, with daily keeper chats included as part of the standard visit. The playground area features a rock wall suitable for younger guests. Animal feedings and behind-the-scenes encounters are available at an additional charge and are not covered by general admission. The zoo is fully wheelchair accessible, with the main entrance located at 2320 North Prospect Road. Entry tickets cover general admission and all keeper chat sessions, and are a practical base for a wider trip to Chicago attractions in the region. Tickets can be cancelled before the selected date for a full refund.
