Budapest: Day Trip From Vienna is a guided coach excursion running approximately eight hours, departing from 2 Opernring in Vienna and covering the principal districts of both Pest and Buda. The itinerary takes in the neo-Gothic Hungarian Parliament Building, one of the largest legislative buildings in Europe, the Hungarian State Opera House, and Heroes' Square, a monumental plaza framing the Millennium Monument at the edge of City Park. These are among the most visited landmarks across Budapest attractions, and the tour covers them in a single day without requiring independent navigation.
After a lunch break at your own expense, a guided walk through Buda begins, visiting the Royal Palace complex on Castle Hill, Fishermen's Bastion with its panoramic views over the Danube, and Matthias Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a history stretching back to the thirteenth century. Margaret Island, known for its parks and recreational grounds, also features on the route. From around 3 pm, guests have free time to explore independently before the coach departs for Vienna at approximately 5 pm, arriving back at around 8 pm. Tickets cover the comfortable coach transfer, the guided city tour of Pest, and the guided walk through central Buda. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Note that this excursion is not suitable for wheelchair users.
