Zaanse Schans: Small-Group Guided Bike Tour is a guided cycling tour departing from Weeshuisland 62 in Amsterdam, covering the route north along the Zaan River to the historic village of Zaanse Schans. The trip runs for approximately two and a half hours and is led by an English and French speaking guide on a traditional Dutch Batavus bike. Zaanse Schans is a protected open-air village that preserves the working windmills, timber houses, and craft industries that characterised the Zaan region from the seventeenth century onward, and the landscape here is said to have influenced Claude Monet during his visits to the area in the 1870s.

The route follows the Zaan River out of Amsterdam, giving riders a ground-level view of the Dutch polder landscape before arriving at the village. Once there, the guide covers the history and traditions of Holland while the group visits a working windmill, a clog workshop, and a cheese factory. Groups are kept small to allow for a closer experience at each stop. Tickets include the bike hire, guided commentary throughout, entry to the mill, and entry to both the clog and cheese factory. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. Cancellations are accepted before the start of the booked timeslot.
