ArtCava: Cava Workshop Tickets at ArtCava – Celler Can Batlle

ArtCava: Cava Workshop is an attraction based in the Penedès wine region, around 40 minutes from Barcelona. Hosted at Masia Can Batlle, a farmhouse with a documented history spanning roughly 1,000 years, the three-hour session covers the full story of Cava production, from the vineyards to the bottle. The Penedès is the heartland of Catalan sparkling wine, producing the majority of Spain's Cava under the Denominació d'Origen regulations, and the setting gives the visit a grounded, working-winery feel rather than a staged tasting room. Guests with things to do in Barcelona on their itinerary can reach the farmhouse by train, with pickup from the station available on request by email.

The session opens with a guided visit to the farmhouse and winery, followed by a tasting of three Cavas from the estate's own production. The centrepiece is a hands-on disgorging workshop in which participants choose their preferred Cava, fill a bottle, then cork and apply a label to take home. Professional winemakers lead each stage, covering the traditional method, the riddling and disgorgement process, and the characteristics that distinguish Cava styles. Tickets include the winery visit, the three-wine tasting, the bottling workshop, and a bottle of Cava to keep. The experience is not wheelchair accessible, and cancellations are accepted before the scheduled timeslot.
