London Cable Car

The London Cable Car crosses the River Thames between the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks, offering one of the most distinctive aerial perspectives on the capital. Operated by Transport for London and known officially as the Emirates Air Line, the gondola journey rises to a height of around 90 metres above the river, placing passengers level with views of the O2 arena, Canary Wharf, and the wider east London skyline.

The crossing takes approximately ten minutes each way, making a roundtrip a leisurely way to take in the Thames from above. The Royal Docks terminal sits close to the ExCeL exhibition centre, while the Greenwich Peninsula terminal connects to the O2 and the wider Greenwich area. Roundtrip tickets are currently available, allowing passengers to travel in both directions and linger over the panoramic views on the return leg.
