Magic Mike LiveHippodrome CasinoBest SeatsSeating Guide

Last updated: 10 July 2026. We keep this guide current as the show and its booking change.

Magic Mike Live is not a normal night at the theatre, and choosing where to sit is a bigger decision here than almost anywhere else in the West End. The stage is a thrust in the middle of an intimate room, the cast performs in front of, behind and above you, and the seat you pick decides how close you get to the action. After a few nights in this room, here is our honest guide to what the show actually is, where to sit, and everything you need to know before you book.

What to Expect

Magic Mike Live is a 360-degree dance and acrobatic show based on the Magic Mike films, conceived and directed by Channing Tatum (who created and directs it, but does not perform). It is a slick, high-production spectacle rather than a traditional male revue: elite dancers, live music, comedy and genuinely impressive acrobatics, staged all around the room so the energy never sits still. The show leans into a celebratory, audience-first atmosphere, and it is built so the crowd feels part of the night rather than sat at a polite distance.

The show plays out all around the room, with the audience close to the stage. See availability at the Magic Mike Live tickets page.

Two practical notes: the show uses strobe lighting and theatrical smoke throughout, and there is audience interaction, so the seats nearest the stage come with a higher chance of being part of the fun. If that is the dream, book in close. If it is your idea of a nightmare, read on for where to sit instead.

Inside the Room

The show plays in a specially built theatre space inside the Hippodrome, not on the main casino floor. It is a small, warm, cabaret-style room with a central stage and seating that wraps the whole way around it, mixing conventional rows with sofa-style booths and raised tiers. With just over 300 seats, there is no such thing as a truly distant seat here, which is a large part of the appeal.

Where to Sit: The Seating Plan

Here is the full seating plan. The stage is the diamond in the middle, and everything is arranged around it, so "the front" means the seats ringing the stage rather than a single block facing it.

How the zones break down:

  • Front-of-stage seats and tables: the ring closest to the action, and the seats right at the tip of the stage are the most in-demand (and priced highest). This is as close as you can get, with the highest chance of interaction.
  • Side booths and couch seating: sofa-style shared seating around the sides, social and comfortable, ideal for a group who want to settle in with drinks.
  • Raised seating and the upper level: set back and up a step, these are the value end of the room, and because the house is so small they still put you close to the stage.
  • Standing: a couple of standing spots at the rear for the cheapest way in.

One important note on price: Magic Mike Live uses dynamic pricing, so the cost of each zone moves with the date and demand rather than sitting at a fixed rate. Always check the live price on the booking page for your chosen performance. If saving across several shows this season is the goal, a tickadoo+ membership is the route to look at.

The Best Seat for Your Night

Because the experience changes so much with where you sit, here is where we would send different bookers.

  • Want the full experience: a front-of-stage seat, as close to the tip as you can get. Maximum proximity, maximum chance of being part of the show.
  • Celebrating with a group: the side booths or couch seating, where you can sit together with drinks and still be close.
  • Best value: the raised or upper-level seats, which in a room this small are a genuinely good view for less.
  • Prefer to watch, not participate: avoid the very front ring and choose a raised or rear seat, where you get the spectacle without the spotlight.

VIP Luxe and Making a Night of It

If you want to go all out, the VIP Luxe upgrade is the premium way to do the show: the best seats in the house plus a hosted package, with a glass of Prosecco before the show, cocktails brought to your table during it, and an after-show table in the venue's exclusive lounge with small plates and a cast meet-and-greet. It turns a 90-minute show into a full evening.

Even without the upgrade, the Hippodrome makes it easy to build a night around the show. There are a couple of bars on site, including a livelier lounge where the cast are known to appear after the show, a quieter cocktail bar, and a steakhouse on the same floor for dinner before or after. It is the ideal set-up for a birthday, a hen night or a girls' night out.

  • Effects: strobe lighting and theatrical smoke are used throughout.
  • Dress code: there is none, so wear whatever makes you feel good.
  • Getting there: the Hippodrome is on the corner of Leicester Square, about a minute from Leicester Square tube and a short walk from Charing Cross.
